About the role
The forward-deployed engineering team is the engineers who land pilots with customers. Aerospace customers — primes, suppliers, and emerging programmes — are a major segment for us; we need engineers who can walk into a CAE office and be useful from day one.
This is the role for engineers who like sitting with customers more than they like sitting at a desk.
What you'll do
- Lead 2–4 customer pilots concurrently. Win conditions defined in writing; you are on the hook for the outcome.
- Pair with the customer's CAE lead daily during pilots; be present on-site when needed.
- Co-author the customer-case-study output where the customer approves publication.
- Feed real customer workloads back into the research and training-data prioritisation.
Who we're looking for
- Industrial CFD or FEA background. You have done real work in production aerospace simulation.
- Strong communicator. You can pair with a senior staff engineer at a customer and earn their trust.
- Comfortable travelling for the duration of a pilot.
Bonus
- Prior aerospace-industry experience — primes, suppliers, defence programmes.
- Hypersonics or rotorcraft specialism.
