Researcher
Dr. Helena Bauer
Helena leads the physics-pretraining programme at Apex. Her work focuses on the scaling exponents of simulation-native foundation models — how the training corpus, loss objective and parameter count interact when the data isn't text. Before Apex, she was a researcher at a frontier AI lab and a postdoc in computational fluid dynamics.
