Bio 12B in preview, ASAP7 PPA, and a research-engineer hire

Bio 12B is in customer preview for FEP and ADMET. We closed the 7nm ASAP7 PPA gap at iso-area. We hired Helena Bauer to lead physics pretraining.

01 · Research progress

Bio 12B is in customer preview for FEP and ADMET workloads. Pretraining corpus is the same; the specialised checkpoint adds an extra 8B tokens of curated biology data. 7nm ASAP7 PPA gap at iso-area is now 1.06× the commercial EDA baseline.

02 · Customer wins

A fabless semiconductor customer running RTL → GDS through Aether as a secondary signoff path. The primary path remains commercial EDA; Aether is graduating into the primary slot one design family at a time.

03 · Model-card diffs

Tool-policy DSL updated with a new biosecurity scope for handle controlled-pathogen lookup. Updates documented at /system-prompt.

04 · An open question

What is the metric you would want a public benchmark to measure for autonomous-lab safety? Reply with your view.
