Apex has closed its current funding round. We are well-capitalised for the next stage — through frontier-scale training runs, sovereign-deployment infrastructure, and the Labs programme. The round was led by partners who understood and signed onto our commitments around data handling, Labs independence and safety engineering before signing the term sheet.
We are not publishing the round's specific size publicly. Qualified counterparties — customers running large procurement decisions who need balance-sheet visibility, prospective partners considering long-term commitments, qualified institutional investors who participated in the round — can request the details under NDA via legal@apexworldlabs.com. We share the substantive numbers; we do not share them publicly because the optimal-disclosure point for an AI company at our stage is closer to private than fully public.
What the funding does not change. The public commitments published in our charter at /charter are not altered by the funding. Customer data is not used to train base models; this commitment is contractual, audited, and enforced by the runtime. Labs reports through a governance line independent of the commercial business; Labs funding for the next two years is committed at the level published. Safety architecture and red-team programme cadence are unchanged. The pricing structure published at /pricing is unchanged.
What the funding does change. We can run the next generation of training experiments without procurement-cycle constraint. The 280B sparse-MoE configuration that shipped with v1.0 was the largest run we had previously been able to support; the post-1.5 architecture experiments at 10× compute are now planned and partly under way. The Labs grant programme described at /labs continues at the published level, with additional partner commitments for the civilisational-scale model series.
We can also make longer commitments to customers. Enterprise contracts now extend to seven-year terms where the customer wants them; previously we capped at five. Sovereign deployments can include multi-year forward-deployed-engineer commitments rather than the previous one-year scope. The standard MSA has been refreshed; existing customers will receive the updated draft over the next two months.
We can also accept more pilots. We have been demand-constrained on the applied-engineering side for the last six months; the funding lets us hire more forward-deployed engineers and reduce the wait for new pilots. Customers who have been on the pilot waiting list will receive priority scheduling over the next quarter.
The funding strategy. We are deliberately not raising at the maximum valuation the market would currently support. The model is to maintain runway for the next two to four years' research programme regardless of customer-revenue growth, and to keep the commercial business as the funding's primary destination rather than as one of many. Partners who share this discipline are who we want around the cap table; partners who do not are not.
The team is hiring across research, platform, applied engineering, design, safety and go-to-market. We hire small numbers of unusually senior people, give them unusually large scope, and ship unusually large results. Open roles are at /careers; compensation bands are published with every role; the first offer is the best offer.
What this looks like for customers in the field. Existing pilots continue. The path from pilot to production deployment is unchanged. The pricing tiers are unchanged. The point of the funding is to let the company keep doing what it has been doing for longer; if you are evaluating Apex for a procurement decision, the funding announcement does not require you to wait for any new feature or service before making the decision.
For the press. The boilerplate at /company describes Apex without specific funding numbers. Press inquiries on the round should go to press@apexworldlabs.com; we will respond within one business day. We are not commenting on competitive comparisons, valuation specifics, or future-round speculation.
Thanks to the partners who signed onto the commitments before the term sheet. Thanks to the early customers who let us run pilots on their hardest workloads. Thanks to the academic safety researchers whose feedback shaped the safety architecture. Thanks to the team for the work that earned the funding.
